The EX® campaign is designed around a comprehensive effort to help prepare smokers for quitting success by “re-learning life without cigarettes.” This involves “re-learning” 1) how different smoking triggers can be overcome; 2) how medication can increase the chances for quitting success; and 3) how support from friends and family members can play a critical role. The website www.BecomeAnEX.org provides a free personalized quitting plan based on personal experiences from ex-smokers, and developed in partnership with smoking cessation experts at Mayo Clinic.

GoGorilla has developed EX-branded car air fresheners to help give smokers looking to quit a fresh start when they re-learn driving without cigarettes.
The Indoor Billboard Advertising Association (IBAA), is providing prime opportunities to make smokers more aware of their habits. Bathroom posters filled with bad pick-up lines highlight a key insight: Bad pick-up lines can make you want to smoke. Another poster being placed in gyms drives smokers to BecomeAnEX.org to re-learn boredom without cigarettes.
The Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) provided both creative input as well as promotional support to this campaign through their weekly newsletter.
